Building Bridges has been making a real difference since 2008

• Inclusive research with people with a learning disability to understand the issues and barriers that are experienced by people with a learning disability.

• Training the staff who work alongside people with a learning disability such as giving good support to parents with a learning disability.

• Training the staff from mainstream organisations so they can better understand and support people with a learning disability who use their services.

• Delivering a wide variety of short courses for people with a learning disability on varied topics such as managing money and Health and Wellbeing.

• By co-producing resources which include good practice guidelines for staff and easy read resources for people with a learning disability such as a keep safe checklist.

• We are commissioned to produce reports and documents in an easy read format.
