One day training on supporting parents with a learning disability

Co-delivered with parents with a learning disability, this training gives frontline staff practical ideas for working with parents with a learning disability.


It covers communication tips, tools to use in practice and signposts you to range of other useful resources.

One day training on producing easy read information

Learn how to produce easy read information, including how to simplify the text, layout documents and select appropriate images. There are lots of opportunities to practice the skills learnt during the training.


Half day online autism training

Building Bridges can offer a half day online training on autism delivered by 2 autistic trainers from Building Bridges, for groups up to 15 people.


We will cover;

  • Lived experience of autistic people
  • Friends and relationships
  • Sensory overload
  • Labels (neurotypical/ diverse)
  • Reasonable adjustments
  • Communication
  • Responding to stress, anxiety and meltdowns
